@Jan-Buriánek Don't you guys have access to the same raw data as Komoot or ride with GPS, other mobile phone apps, to reflect an accurate altitude estimate? Or do I have to export a mapy GPX to another app in order to get a better estimate of the altitude gain for any given route?

Android Automotive není podporováno. Já teda nevím, zda by to vůbec šlo, protože Google jako vlastník systému Android jednoduše toto nikomu nedovolí. Prostě v autě s Googlem bude navigace Google. Tečka. Umožňují jen Android Auto, které jakoby částečně zrcadlí aplikaci z mobilu, ale také s mnoha omezeními. Nebo se pletu?

Vector had worked for me for the past couple of weeks and I got quite used to it (the topography looks better than the non-vector version), so in a way it feels like a step back now without vector map. Hopefully it will become available soon again. In my opinion, the biggest drawback of the vector map, however, is the display of route names on the raster layer. It is much less reliable than on the non-vector map, often appearing only at certain zoom levels or not at all. On Mobile, rotating the map by 180° can sometimes help when a route name wouldn't appear otherwise, but this is inconvenient, and the workaround is not possible on Web Mapy. I hope your team can make route-name rendering more robust, so names appear consistently across a wider range of zoom levels and viewing angles.

In addition, Mapy should also warn you if your planned route is over a specific kind of surface other than asphalt, e.g. gravel. I hope they can look into it.

Guten Tag, die Webseiten von Hotels werden leider nicht automatisch in den Ortsdetails ergänzt. Ihren Hinweis werden wir aber auf jeden Fall berücksichtigen. Falls bei einem Hotel die Website fehlt, kann sie über die Option „Änderungen vorschlagen“ hinzugefügt werden. Nach der Prüfung wird die Website dann direkt beim jeweiligen Ort angezeigt. We understand that the address can be found in Google Maps, but Mapy.com mainly uses OSM data, so unfortunatelly, some addresses may still be missing or incomplete. If you find a missing place or address, the best option is to add it directly on Mapy.com as a new place and include as much information as possible. We can then review it and add it to the map. Could you please clarify what you mean by “selecting and changing destinations during a journey”? Do you mean that you want to start navigation to a destination while offline, or that you want to change the destination while navigation is already in progress?

There is no setting to force the app to use offline data exclusively. However, the app automatically prefers the offline map data when it is available. So, if you have downloaded the offline map for a particular area, the basic map background is taken from that offline data. The app does not need to download the map tiles again, so this significantly reduces data usage. However, offline maps contain only the basic map and some basic tourist information. Other data is still loaded online, even when you have the offline map downloaded. For example, information about restaurants and other points of interest, photos, opening hours, traffic information, aerial maps, etc. When you have no internet connection at all, the downloaded offline map is still available, which is the main purpose of offline maps. However, online information is then unavailable, and route planning has to be calculated by the app using the offline map data, without current road closures, traffic information, etc. So it may look as if the app is still using a lot of mobile data even with offline maps downloaded. But the downloaded offline map does reduce the amount of data transferred — the app simply still needs an internet connection for many other types of information.
