download a route for offline?
-
Hi, im enjoying mapy while planning a bikepacking trip. Its really useful to download whole sections of map offline, I paid for the premium version.
but can anyone tell me how to download routes so they show up on the map while offline, please? I've done a lot of goggling and not having any luck. Any help much appreciated. Thanks. -
Everything you save to “My Maps” on the web will be available in the mobile app after synchronization – also offline. Create your routes and save them to your account under My Maps (you can also organize them into folders). Or import GPX tracks and save them there as well.
Then, while you still have internet access, open the app and go to My Maps. This will sync the data automatically. If it doesn’t, you can trigger the synchronization manually. You will then see the same content in the app as on the web. After that, you can go offline and all your routes will stay available in the phone.
Note 1: If you are in an area with a very weak signal, it’s better to switch off mobile data. Otherwise, the app will keep trying to contact the server, which may cause delays.
Note 2: If you import a GPX file, you can view the track offline, but you cannot start navigation on it. That topic is discussed here.

Great! Synchronization works both ways. For example, if you record your trip with the tracker and save it in the mobile app, once you’re back in coverage it will sync automatically and the record will also appear on the web – in the Activities section.
The same principle applies to deleting: if you delete something in the mobile app, after synchronization it will also disappear from the web.
Everything is tied to your account (the email + password you used for Premium). All data is stored on the Mapy.com servers. It works much like email – everything is available wherever you sign in.
So you can use multiple devices (PC, phone, tablet, etc.) and you’ll always see the same content.

Hi, I thought I'd find some existing hiking route suggestions here, but I haven't found anything downloadable. I'm new here (premium). Haiko

@haifisch.berlin Hi, this forum is not primarily intended for sharing route suggestions. It’s more for mutual help with using the web and the app, solving various issues, and adding suggestions for improvements to the developers.
But maybe it could also be an idea to create a dedicated category for that here. -
@Jan-Buriánek
Thanks for your information. Who can help me? There is no hotline or mailadress? Haiko
