Creating a manual route

Hi. I need to plan a waterway route manually as the app doesn’t support waterways in this country. Can anyone tell me how to plot manual routes on the app please? Thanks!

In the bottom right corner of the map, use "Tools" > "Distance and area measurement" – this allows you to manually click and plot the entire route and save it to My Maps.

It cannot be combined with standard route planning (along roads or paths).
Navigation cannot be started based on this manual path – it's similar to a track recording or imported GPX file.

If you want to combine different types of travel (e.g., walking + waterway), the best way is to create a new folder for the trip and save each section separately – for example, the walking segment as a planned route, and the waterway segment as a manually clicked track.
