POI category: Camp vs. Campsite
-
There are two types of campsite categories, such as the English-language version 'Camp' and 'Campsite', or the Polish-language version 'Camping' and 'Kemping'. One has a big tent icon, another a small one. How do these categories differ? If nothing, it would be useful to unify them.

@dronemarch Hi, thank you for bringing our attention to this. You're right, there's no difference in these two categories. The reason why there's two of them is because we have recently unified two different databases of categories and they overlap in some cases. We removed the biggest offenders and are currently working on other things right now, but I'll make sure we look into this with the next batch of category changes once we gather enough problematic cases.
Thanks a lot again, we appreciate every upgrade suggestion and hope you'll post any ideas you have.Jakub from the Search team

I have tried to locate a list of all the categories used in Mapy, to no avail. It is very hard to find something if you don't know what to look for. Please add (a hyperlink to) a full list of categories (preferably in a selectable language)

@dating-wilder-nail Hi, you can find a similar topic here.
It’s not possible to display a list of all categories on the map — the list is extremely long, and we believe it wouldn’t be very useful for our users. If you’re looking for something specific, just try typing it into the search. Or, if you find a POI, you can see its category listed next to it and click on it to find more similar places. -
@Jakub-Groman year has passed and there ari still overlapping categories - camp, camping, kemp, kempink. Are those showing same results or do i need to sequentially search for all of them?

@Jaroslav-Holoubek Hello. While the categories still exist separately, they should all behave the same way and one search should find them all. Apart from the minor difference in name there should be no difference in behavior. Should you come across a place of interest that behaves differently than you expect, please do let us know (ideally from the app itself) and we will fix it but currently we believe it should work without any problems.
