Mapy.com Android with Graphene OS without Google Services
-
Hi Community
i have decided to use Mapy Premium. I installed the newest version of mapy.com app from Aurora Store. Since i got premium i cannot get my location displayed in the map. Other Apps can use my location. I have given all permissions for location but i does not work. Thats not nice. With my version 9.55 of Mapy all works fine. Now the app is trash without displaying my actual location in the app. Can anyone help me to solve my problem? Use a smartphone with Google Play Services is no option. Thank you! -

Based on my observation:
former versions of app (up to 9.54.0) had gps working without google services.
Later versions need goggle services or signature spoofed microg as well as background location access permission. Without it you cannot use location on app.
Could any App Developer confirm this? -
@mapycz Hi,
The latest version for Android is 9.65.1. Location should work properly even without Google Play Services. However, if you are using an older version of Mapy and have location issues, try using Google Play Services.You can find more information on our Help page:
You can influence position accuracy yourself in your mobile device settings, Location settings, High Accuracy. Alternatively, by moving in areas with good GPS signals. Since GPS position is determined using Google Play Services, check whether this app has GPS access permission and is up-to-date. The time set by the carrier is required (e.g., automatic time). Sometimes, a simple restart of your device may help. It might also help to set GPS permissions for the Mapy.com app in Settings – access to GPS: Always, always allow.Thanks!
