Displaying POI to plan a route

Hello, everyone,
I’d like to suggest a feature that seems perfectly logical when planning a car trip: specifically, being able to see POIs (gas stations, parking lots, etc.) along the route when adding stops to a trip. For those familiar with IGO on Windows GPS devices, this was possible there, just as it is on Google Maps and other services.
Right now, when you select a category for a stop, the POIs don’t appear on the map at the time of selection and aren’t sorted by location, which is completely STUPID... As a result, it becomes really difficult to plan for a gas station along the route or something similar.
Would it be possible for you to improve the way waypoints are selected so that the feature is actually usable? Thanks in advance. -
Hello,
search results are currently ranked by what the system considers most relevant, rather than simply by which POIs are closest to or directly along the planned route. We’re sorry if this makes planning stops less convenient for you.
We are not currently working on a dedicated “search along the route” feature, but it is something we consider for the future.
