Navigation ignores compass
-
When navigating, the phone's compass is completely ignored. Every now and then successive movements briefly reorient the map in the direction of travel, but it appears always assumed that the traveller will immediately correct their orientation - as is then immediately reflected in the reorientation of the map. This is quite unlike Google Maps, which does recognise the phone orientation, orients the map accordingly, and gives directions accordingly.

Hello, thank you for your question.
Please check the settings on your device:
Go to Settings - Privacy - Location Services - System Services and turn on Compass Calibration.
It may also help to make a few figure eights with your phone in your hand to calibrate. This problem can also be caused by a phone case that contains a magnet. This then interferes with the digital magnetic compass in the phone.
