Add waypoints manually

It would be very helpful to be able to switch to manual mode to plot routes without automatically following roads and trails.
Sometimes a trail isn't mapped, you want to take a shortcut, or the routing isn't working properly.That would make this app even better than it already is.

note that by adding intermediate points your problem is solved and there is no difference between adding intermediate points so that the route runs the way you want and how you want it to look, except that the latter option is worse because it requires many more intermediate points.

thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing this idea—we really appreciate it!
Manual route planning (outside existing roads and trails) is something that comes up from time to time from our users, and we’re keeping an eye on how often it’s requested. Our development team is aware of it.
As for missing trails on the map—you can easily add them yourself by long-pressing on the map and selecting “Add a missing place” or "Mistake on a map". Our cartographic team will then review it.
