Tracker does not start
-
Hello,
I'm a long-time user of Mapy. Since yesterday I cannot start the tracker anymore. The app tells me to allow access to my location. The app has access and I see the little blue spot indicating where I am on the map, but the tracker will not start.
I have restarted my phone several times. The maps are up to date, too.
Any idea what I can do?
Thank you in advance! -
@mein_sammelsurium Hello, please take a look here: https://help.mapy.com/faq/application/#android-tracker
in the section “Tracker recording does not copy my current position...”. - this could help solve your issue. The most important is to allow Mapy.com to use your location.
On some devices, background application permissions and GPS access must be allowed in the system settings for the app to function properly. If not allowed, the application may be terminated in the background, or may not record the route in Tracker as it has no GPS access. The location in Settings varies by manufacturer and Android system. Background operation is also affected by battery saver, which should be disabled for the Mapy.com application.Allow location access for the app:
On Android: Settings → Apps → [App Name] → Permissions → Location → select “Allow all the time”. Then set it to High Accuracy.
On iOS: Settings → [App Name] → Location → select “Always.” Then set it to High Accuracy. -

Thank yo for your reply, Ewelina. But as I said the permissions are turned on and I see the blue dot indicating my position in the map. However the tracker keeps telling me to turn on the permissions. I am using Mapy for years and I never had this problem before.
