I am trying to plan my route and calculate distances between accommodations on the Cotswolds Way and even though Mapy has the Cotswolds Way trail marked in red on the "Outdoor" map, when I try to get specific walking route, it shows walking directions that are off trail. I didn't have this issue on the Camino. Is there a specific setting to indicate that I would like the route to show ON TRAIL?

Here's an example, it follows the trail for a bit, but you can see the red line for Cotswolds Way trail, and neither of the routes connect to it. There are several trails in the area, so I am not sure if there is a way to have it follow only the Cotswolds Way trail.

It’s not possible to plan a route directly along a named trail as a whole (e.g. just by selecting the Cotswolds Way).

You need to use via points to force the route to follow the path you want. By adding intermediate points along the trail, you can make the planner stick to the Cotswolds Way instead of choosing alternative footpaths.
