Show current GPS position on the elevation profile
-
Hi Mapy team!
I really enjoy using your app for hiking, and I’d like to suggest a small but very useful improvement.
Currently, when viewing the elevation profile of a route, you can slide your finger along the graph to see the corresponding position on the map.
It would be great if the elevation profile could also display your current GPS position along the route, for example with a dot or a vertical marker.
Since the app already tracks your location on the map, having the same information on the elevation profile would make it much easier to understand how far you’ve progressed, how much climbing is left, and where you are in relation to upcoming ascents and descents.
I think this would be especially useful for hikers!
Thanks for considering this suggestion, and keep up the great work!

@Daniel-Rosin Hi,
Thank you for your kind words and for sharing your suggestion with us!
The route planner currently doesn't know where you are or whether you're actually following the planned route, so it can't automatically show your GPS position in the elevation profile.
However, you can already use the interactive profile to check your position: since you can see your current location on the map, simply find the corresponding point on the elevation graph by sliding your finger along it.
We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear that you enjoy using Mapy.com for hiking. Happy trails!
