Inhibit voice instructions in a known area
-
When navigating to new destinations, voice instructions are useful. However, you often start from a known location (home, work, holiday house ...) where you know by heart where to go to reach the closest highway, for example. It would therefore be useful if the user could silence the voice instructions in a known area.
Implementation suggestion
In settings, allow the user to set multiple known areas (could be a circle with a user-defined radius around user-defined GPS coordinates. Alternatively, a polygon). When in these areas, the voice navigation would stay silent. As soon as the user drives outside the areas, the voice instructions should begin.

Hello,
thank you for the detailed suggestion. We understand how this could be useful, especially when starting a journey in an area you already know well. At the moment, it is not possible to define areas where voice navigation would automatically stay muted, and we are not planning this feature in the near future. We’ll nevertheless keep your idea in mind for future development.
