How to keep a gpx route always on display
-
Hey ! I don’t understand how to keep my gpx route always on display. It’s creates only a dot where I need to click on it to display my route. I would like to have the itinerary in red always even if I’m looking for another itinerary

@Omar-Essalki Hi, unfortunately, it’s not possible to keep a GPX route always displayed on the map – you need to tap it to view the route.

Save your GPX tracks into one folder. When you open that folder on the web (PC), you will see all the routes from that folder displayed together on the map.
If you want to create a navigable route based on an existing GPX track, take a look here.

@Ewelina Would it be possible to add this feature in the future? I was very confused that when selecting "permanently show on map", that the gpx trail is not always shown on the map, it's just a pin. When I hike I navigate solely by looking at the track. Having to move the map around to the location of the pin and tapping it every time I have to check the route is kind of cumbersome from a hiker's perspective.
I like seeing all my gpx tracks simultaneously on the map. Other apps do this well. Otherwise I'm enjoying mapy very much. -
@storch Yes, I agree!
I use the app without navigation to save battery. I only look at the map occasionally to check the route, so I don’t need the app to continuously update my position in the background. In both scenarios, whether the route is imported as a GPX file or planned directly in the app, it is hard to use because the route regularly deselects itself in the background, and menu overlays get in the way.
I feel like the app is missing a mode where you only see the map with the route always displayed, without background GPS/navigation and with a clean interface without menus. This would be useful for both planned routes and GPX-imported routes.
