I have quit my job and spent a lot of money and health to make it. I f up my feet. I was planning to describe it. I was careful to always have enough battery to track my hike, i even bought 20000mah heavy duty powerbank. But after nearly 150 kilometresb of walk in mostly difficult terrain, just in midway, a popup window asking if i want to keep the record track appeared. And it was this millisecond between my finger on a screen and a tap, just when i wanted to check the map. I accidentally pressed Cancel, because my finger was placed just over it on a map and that's it. It was gone. Preparations, three pairs of shoes. Blistered and bruised feet, 25 rolls of film, nothing made sense anymore. Is it fair to have it removed do easily? Accidentally? Fck this sht.

We can absolutely understand how frustrating and heartbreaking it must feel after so much effort, pain, preparation and emotional investment in such an important journey.
Unfortunately, once a rejected track recording is discarded, it cannot be recovered anymore.
For very long hikes like yours, we strongly recommend:

splitting the planned route into several shorter sections/days,

splitting the track recording into several recordings as well.

Besides reducing the risk of losing a very large recording at once, the app usually performs better with shorter tracks and recordings.

Thank you for sharing this experience openly.
